		<content type="html">&lt;br&gt;&lt;font size="5"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(126, 144, 153);"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;img src="http://images.quickblogcast.com/9/4/9/2/6/173279-162949/jellepeopleatevent.jpg?a=90" width="505" height="400"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Every now and again, I stumble upon a lecture that is life changing.&amp;nbsp; Such was the case&lt;br&gt;with Professor Emeritus, Jelle Zeillinga DeBoer.&amp;nbsp; He has written a book entitled, Stories &lt;br&gt;In Stone: How Geology Influenced Connecticut History and culture.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I learned that Connecticut once had tropical climates and an ice age.&amp;nbsp; All that could be&lt;br&gt;determined by reading the lines in rock formations.&amp;nbsp; You heard it right.&amp;nbsp; Not the lines in&lt;br&gt;trees but the lines in rocks.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Connecticut is rich in gold and cobalt and other unique features.&amp;nbsp; The lecture got me&lt;br&gt;thinking about my environment and it's cultural and natural history.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The book is Stories in Stone by Jelle Zeillinga DeBoer.&amp;nbsp; The author was at our store&lt;br&gt;and his book can be ordered at Burgundy Books&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;img src="http://images.quickblogcast.com/9/4/9/2/6/173279-162949/storiesinstonemedium.JPG?a=69"&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br&gt;</content>
